I participated in the 2023 Ludwig Game jam, where me and a programmer made a little web-game in a week.

I made all of the art and graphics, from UI, backgrounds to in-game-assets, while the programmer made the functionality of the game itself. We came up with the concept of the game based on the game jam site, trying to match the description, requirements and theme of the game jam.

During the week of making this game, I was required to divide my workload for the week to reach the deadline, and communicate with the programmer on what we wanted to achieve. In true game-jam-fashion we were required to give up some ideas in sake of reaching the deadline, and really focus on some aspects more than others.

Below are some visuals from the game.

I also spent a good while designing a "rewards" system, which is little unlockable "polaroid cards". All in all the project gave me a lot more confidence in my abilities to schedule and produce quality visuals in a limited time. Any time the programmer didn't have an idea on how to make a part of the game function, I came up with the solution, so in a lot of ways worked on the project as the game-designer with them as well.

We scheduled our tasks in Trello, came up with the concept in Miro, I made the graphics in Paint Tool Sai transferred files via Google Drive, and the finalized project itself was put together in Godot, and then eventually uploaded in Itch.io.

Below are the unlockable ending cards.

This game is playable on the itch.io website, in Coots The Cat. I also designed the visuals on the website of the game itself, to fit the style and feeling of the game, as well as produced all the texts, like credits and game description.
