I worked on a first person 2D horror game for Kotva Games as an artist.

Take a chance in talking to the people in your contacts, you never know who is going to turn out to be in need of something that you have.
They responded positively to my message, and I created a quick 1h graphic style test (showcased below), to see if I was able to make the graphical style that they were looking for for their project.

Once we were both happy with the graphic test results, we filled out the necessary paperwork and set up a meeting to discuss what we would work on next, and when I would meet their colleague.

After we were done with all the official meetings and greetings, me and the programmer started working on the game itself. We were messaging back and forth, and having calls with explanations on what he needed of me. The requirements were specific, and when ever he didn't provide me with some information that I needed, I would ask clarifying questions that he then were able to answer with ease.

As my job, I was creating all of the 2D graphics for the game, the programmer was making the project in a custom-self made-engine, so I didn't work with the project files themselves, other than the ones I made. He would also keep me updated if anything needed changing or tweaking, but mostly after the first sets of graphics were done, it was smooth sailing, as the values and level of detail was figured out for the in-engine-work.
The images themselves were made in a graphics program Paint Tool Sai, using a Wacom Intuos 5 graphics tablet. I made custom textured brushes and used paper texture as a background for the paper-drawing-effect. I also started working on the 'monsters' of the game.
In the end it was financially impossible for me to keep working on the project after my job practice period was completed, because of the contract that they were able to offer me wasn't sustainable.
I also made a few funny comics for the company's Facebook page to be marketing material.

The project itself was discontinued.
